Piper nigrum essential oil has a hot, sharp, bright, fruity, and spicy aroma. It has aromatic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.  Externally it is used as an ointment or liniment for neuralgic and rheumatic pains.  It is also indicated as a gland stimulant and aphrodesiac.  Black pepper is a balancing mid note that is compatible with many other essential oils including other spice oils, cedarwood, citrus oils, rose, sandalwood and ylang ylang.
