Rose absolute oil has an intense rich floral aroma. It is isolated via solvent extraction or steam distillation from the blooms of the Rosa damascena plant.  It creates a calming, happy mood when diffused or applied topically at the appropriate dilution, and has anti-depressive, aphrodisiac properties. It has ancient use in uniting the spiritual with the physical. Rose bends well with the base notes of vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli. It also combines well with chamomile, citrus essences, cedarwood, clary sage, frankincense and other floral essences.  There are no reports of contraindications or side effects when used properly.
