Citrus aurantium, an important ingredient in Eau de Cologne and Earl Grey tea has a rich citrus aroma with floral overtones.  The oil is extracted from the fruit peel/rind and has calming and anti-inflammatory properties.   It may be used topically for a variety of skin problems, and used by inhalation for anxiety, depression and insomnia.  This refreshing yet relaxing top note blends well with other citrus oils, cypress, basil, sandalwood and lavender.
