Chamaemelum noble is a sweet, floral, fruity aroma that blends well with Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli, Rose Geranium.  Compared to German chamomile it exerts weaker effects as an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic.  It may be used for depression, anxiety, relaxation, stress relief, grief, anger, discontent, and over-sensitivity.  Roman chamomile is more likely than German chamomile to cause allergic dermatitis to persons hypersensitive to other Asteraceae plants such as arnica, feverfew, ragweed, tansy, and yarrow.  Otherwise there are no other reports of contraindications or side effects when used properly.
