Eucalyptus globulus is especially effective when used for cleaning and deodorising around the home.  When used neat it can give a sparkling finish, free from bacteria. It is great for removing sticky label residue and is effective in removing pen marks from fabric.  This top note is obtained via steam distillation and has stimulating, uplifting expectorant and antimicrobial properties.  Eucalyptus oil is best avoided during pregnancy and lactation.  For infants and young children products containing eucalyptus oil should be rubbed on the chest and throat, avoiding the face and nostrils.
