Citrus reticulata contains limonene and methyl anthranilate, the latter having highly sedative properties.  Mandarin has a floral, rich aroma that blends well with other citrus oils.  It has calming properties and is indicated for acne treatment, constipation, fluid retention, as a skin toner, for loose skin, and stretch mark prevention.  It is an excellent essential oil choice for children, the elderly and pregnant women.  As it is cold pressed, it may cause phototoxic skin reactions, so do not use before exposure to sunlight.
